The Largo Group of Companies established a Canadian office, Largo Capital Limited, in 2002 and since then has financed over $250 million in commercial real estate loans.  Largo’s history in Canada dates back prior to the opening of an office in Toronto, Ontario.  In 1998, Largo facilitated $50 million in financing for a portfolio of flagged hotels with a large investment bank, one of the first conduit loans in Canada. 

Largo Capital Limited is a mortgage brokerage that provides construction loans, permanent financing, bridge loans, and second mortgages on office, industrial, retail, multi-family, condo, self-storage, and hotel properties across Canada.  Loan sizes range from anywhere between $500,000 to $35,000,000+ and clients range from large institutional borrowers and REITs, to individual real estate investors and clients seeking financing on owner-occupied buildings. 

Largo has relationships with a variety of lenders including banks, life insurance companies, pension funds, trust companies, credit unions, mortgage funds, and other alternative lenders.  Largo Capital Limited finances properties in Canada with both Canadian lenders and Canadian dollar loans from American institutional lenders.   

The Largo Group of Companies also has a Canadian servicing arm, and operates a mortgage administrator under the name Largo Real Estate Advisors.  The expansion into mortgage servicing in Canada is a new venture for the Largo Group of Companies, and currently there are no funds under administration in Canada.
