With the volatility in the Financial Markets and the growing uncertainty in the United States economy, Largo’s ability to manage commercial mortgage assets, from the lender and owners' perspective, has become increasingly important. Largo’s founder has over 31 years experience in the real estate industry, and has extensive knowledge and expertise in portfolio management, asset management, and structuring and servicing commercial mortgages.
As an indication of Largo’s expertise, Developers Diversified Realty selected Largo to help facilitate a $6.2 billion merger with Inland Retail Real Estate Trust and a joint venture with TIAA-CREF, a deal which is considered to be the largest U.S. retail REIT transaction closed to date. The merger included approximately 330 properties totaling nearly 43.6 million square feet. Largo was responsible for loan administration, due diligence and the coordination of assumptions and payoffs with 23 lenders and was uniquely qualified to close on all transactions within a 60 day period. Largo streamlined the entire transaction and helped all parties involved track the flow of information with ease, leading to a successful and timely closing.
